Two actors, twenty characters and a barrel of laughs, ya'll. This hilarious comedy takes place in Tuna, Texas' third smallest town, where the Lions Club is too liberal, and Patsy Cline never dies. The show ushers us through a day in Tuna, Texas, from the morning radio broadcast, to visits through the homes and businesses of this colorful community. UFO sightings, celebrity murder and a used weapon sale all contribute to the hilarity. Join us as we open our 2008 season at Hanover Tavern with one of America’s favorite comedies!

Driving Miss Daisy is the warm-hearted comedy that captured the Pulitzer Prize. It tells the story of the surprising friendship that grows between tiny yet tenacious Daisy Werthan, an independent Jewish widow, and Hoke, the soft-spoken yet proud African American chauffeur hired by her son after she crashes another car. At first, Daisy’s stubbornness and cultural prejudices cause much friction, but Daisy, Hoke and her son, Boolie, grow over the span of 25 years, during the tidal waves of change in the American South. We watch as these two seemingly very different people discover how much they truly have in common.
